As part of the North East England Growth 2 Logistics Technology Project Boyd & Noble Productivity Solutions were brought in to undertake a Technology Audit to identify improvement opportunities and solutions within Johnson Controls manufacturing operation.

It was recommended that Johnson Controls seek to introduce barcode scanning and electronic goods received notes within the following areas:-

• Goods Receiving

• Inventory Control

• Storage

 These recommendations improve stock visibility as well as providing real time stock information that can be used by purchasing, production, warehousing and general management
