Guernsey Post Ltd are the postal provider on the island of Guensey in the Channel Islands.

Standard Times

We carried out a work measurement exercise that included the process mapping and measuriung each individual process of the entire indoor operation from the mail being received to it leaving for delivery or posting to the mainland. This data is to be used as part of the performance measurment system and as a reference for the managers managing the operation and for product costing purposes.

Performance Measurement System

We developed a besoke performance measurement system that allows effective performance to be measured at for example, work area level or shift level or at unit level for an idividual day, week or month. The system encapsulates the standard times produced for GPL and any staff hours used. The outputs of which provide the basis for ongoing productivity and efficiency improvements.

Duty Schedules

We developed a bespoke piece of software that holds information about every single duty within the operation. The information can be used for daily staff useage, activity based costings, manpower and workforce planning, duty rostering as well as providing daily work schedules for the staff.
