As part of the North East England Growth 2 Logistics Technology Project Boyd & Noble Productivity Solutions were brought in to undertake a Technology Audit to identify improvement opportunities and solutions within Conti-Tech Beatties manufacturing operation.

As a result of this work it was recommended that the company should introduce a Shop Floor Data Capture system to cover the following areas of their operation

• Goods Received
• Bar Store
• Machine Shop
• Inspection
• Inventory Stores

 Job cards will be scanned into the system at the start and end of each process and will provide real time reporting in terms of order visibility, stock levels and process outputs something which previously was not available under the current manual system
